What is a real man?

Some people think being a "real man" means being macho or behaving badly or stupidly. (ie: Real men don't cry. Real men eat big steaks not salads. Real men don't listen to their wives or girlfriends. Real men don't crossdress. Real men don't share their feelings, etc. All stupid crap and based on stereotypes.) To me, real men are those who treat others well especially the Woman in their life. Real men to me are those that are honest, loyal, have integrity (are true to themselves), have good character, care, can talk things out, can keep their word, and are strong enough to submit themselves and put their total trust in their partners. A real man treats the woman in his life like gold or like a Queen. I actually think society should stop using the phrase "real man" and instead use the term "gentleman" more often because that's what the world needs...more gentle men.

  2. Harumph! A "real man" isn't some rude, selfish bastard. It's someone with integrity, loyalty, faith, honor, respect......

    1. Thank you Mistress Lisa for this post! You articulated my thoughts and feelings exactly. My husband has always been a gentleman as you described. Even before I assumed control of the marriage! I imagine his parents instilled these qualities in him. I have, to my great enjoyment, merely refined and shaped these qualities to my liking!
