Homage to the Elven Queen

I came across this oil painting and it reminded me of when I dressed up as an Elven Princess one year for halloween and looked a bit similar to this. I'm posting it because of that and also because I just love the romantic nature and love seeing a male on his knees before his Queen.

The wanderer kneels in reverence to the station and the beauty of the elven queen. His eloquence though enamored with her, touches her heart. She welcomes this stranger to her beautiful kingdom by graciously extending her hand. He thanks her by kissing her ivory knuckles."
