I enjoyed my time in Disney World's Halloween party at the Magic Kingdom yesterday. (I loved the shows, trick or treating, decorations, etc.) But during the instances I was around alot of people all at once it made me feel overwhelmed and a bit uncomfortable at times. I did my best to lessen crowds for me though such as when everyone was watching the parade, I got treats and got photos taken when there was noone around except a staff member or two and no lines. But I am still feeling a bit overwhelmed from the party. Why? I'm actually an introvert. I can handle events with crowds on occasion but I definitely need time to recover.
I haven't been to the Magic Kingdom in a very long time because I do not like being near crowds often which usually happens there because of their much narrower pathways and popularity of that specific park.
Introvert versus extrovert...What's the difference? Introverts are not shy. They just have different needs than extroverts.
"You may be an introvert if:
- -You enjoy spending time alone
- -You prefer quality time with one or two people over spending time with bigger groups of friends
- -You need alone time to rest and recharge after a busy workday or period of activity
- -You can get lost in your thoughts easily and need time to process and think through most things
- -You prefer spending your time around other people and dislike being alone
- -You like crowds, parties and other gatherings with lots of new people
- -You need quality time with others to help you recharge
- -You're outgoing, talkative and like being the center of attention
Typically introverts tend to enjoy more time to themselves, are very aware of their internal thoughts and recharge more in solitude. Extroverts can be just the opposite. Extroverts are often more outspoken, outgoing and absolutely love being around other people. That's what really fills them up."

There can also be a spectrum where some people are a mixture of both. But I'm definitely introverted. Now after the big party, I just want to relax at home and recharge myself. Reading, painting, being creative in various ways, texting, writing, learning and meditation are some things I especially enjoy when I'm trying to recharge.
