National Barbie Day

Yesterday, March 9, was the anniversary of Barbie's creation.

"The history of National Barbie Day is the history of Barbie herself as the day marks her official birthday. Barbie debuted on March 9, 1959 at the American International Toy Fair in New York. She was a labor of love from Ruth Handler who was the wife of the co-founder of the toy giant Mattel, Inc. After watching children playing with baby dolls and paper dolls, she thought that the toy market needed something more."

Now there are alot of Barbies, including dolls for 250 different jobs. 

Here's the official music video for the "Dance the night" song from the Barbie movie. 

I might host a Barbie party next year where people can dress up in pink or dress up as any Barbie.

Country song I like

In the past, I've never been much into country music but a few months ago most of the times I got into my car this country song below came on the radio and it happened for several weeks. (It's from 2003 but I never heard it before a couple months ago when it repeatedly kept showing up in my life). Anyway, it made me feel very good when I listened to it and also later when I viewed this video for it. So I thought I'd share. I also went out and bought the music cd (her greatest hits cd which has this song), so it's the first country cd I bought. Shania Twain has a beautiful voice and it's a lovely song called "Forever and For Always". Enjoy.
