Felt like a rock star

I had a great time on Saturday night at the co-ed RockStar Party for kinksters that one of my friends had. There were some great costumes, food, sexy fashion show, fun time taking pictures, also one of my female friends did a drag show performance for us all, and more. Also some individuals separately came up to me during the night and told me that they're a fan of mine. I initially thought they meant they were a fan of the male rockstar character I dressed up as, but then they said there were actually a fan of me in life as Mistress Lisa. So that was a nice surprise. I'm used to people emailing me saying they're fans of mine but I've never had both men and women come up to me during one night telling me their fans and complimenting me alot. It made me feel like a real rock star. =)

4 presidential candidates on most ballots not 2

I do not usually talk about politics. But personally I find it a bit disturbing that in America currently people know of and are talking as if there are only 2 presidential candidates.(Romney and Obama). In fact there are more than that. On most of the ballots in America there will also be:
- Gary Johnson
- Dr. Jill Stein

Either one of these presidential candidates could win the election if enough people vote for them. (Personally I like both of them). The reason most people think that there are only 2 candidates (Romney and Obama) is because what Americans are told or shown is being controlled. For example, Dr. Jill Stein tried to attend and participate in the presidential debate that was going to be aired on TV but she wasn't allowed in. In fact, she was arrested and handcuffed to a chair for 8 hours for trying to enter the grounds of the debate (along with her female vice-presidential running mate). She should have been welcomed in because she will be on 85% of the ballots in America. But the televised debates are being controlled by a group called the CPD, which is a puppet of and serves the interests of the Democrats, Republicans and the big corporations that fund both of them.

Another tip: If you can, I also recommend voting by absentee ballot because the electronic voting machines can be quickly and easily tampered with.
Note: The 2012 presidential election will also be the first time in history were exit polls (after voting electronically) are not conducted in every state.There will be no way to verify votes.

Mind Over Matter: The law of attraction

The mind is a powerful thing so expect good. Everyone has power since it's a universal law. The Law of Attraction says "thoughts become things".

Even if you do not understand it or believe it, it's still working in your life. If you say "I do not want this, this and this to happen to me again". Guess what will happen. Exactly what you say you do not want to happen to you. Because you're concentrating on that, it's in your mind, you worry that the bad things are going to happen again. You get a negative or defensive vibration to you and then you attract more of the same. If you consistently focus on a good thought and truly feel it, then it will become your reality.

It goes for everything you think about, so be conscious of what you think about, what you concentrate on, what you beleive, what you expect. Expect the good. Lots of good positive things in your life. Now I know that good might not be your experience from the past, but let that go. Think only positive things. Expect what you want...to come to you. If you put enough strong good feelings into it and you consistently do so and feel postivie and do not allow negative thoughts (or what you do not want) to come into your thought patterns, then what you want will eventually come to you. Like attracts like. This is the "Law of Attraction".

It is important to stay positive. In the world, there is negativity. Do not allow people or things that are negative to bring you down...and do not belive that more negativity will be your experience. It does not have to be. Think positive. Expect positive things. Think of yourself as a magnet. Anything you think about strongly or expect, you'll get. Good or bad.

Tips:
-Raise the vibration of how you feel. Focus on the good in life. Radiate positivity.
-One good way to focus on the good is to have gratitude for what you do have. Be appreciative. Be thankful.What are you thankful for in your life?
-Always choose love over hate/fear.
-Visualize your goal as already having come true. (And creating a vision board with photos of your ideal life could help.)

I've been consciously studying about the Law of Attraction for a little over a year now. I'm still practicing it and learning how to consistently improve my thoughts/vibration. I actually started learning about the law of attraction initially because I noticed all the good things I mentally focused on were coming true. Some pretty amazing instances so then I went to the bookstore and came across the book title that seemed to reflect what was happening: "Ask and it is given: Learning to manifest your desires." So I now continue to learn, practice and test it out. I know it works.

As some of you may have read on my personal website's "causes I support" page, I believe in donating to the needy and have especially helped the poor in Africa. But recently I came across one of the best organizations/causes that helps Africa. It's a company called Generosity Water that helps get wells (and clean water) to those towns in africa that really need it. The world map is wrong

(warning: vanilla topic). Do you know how the world really looks? If you've seen a rectangular map in school books, posters and on websites such as Mapquest, Google Earth and lots of others then you probably were not looking at an accurate map of the world.

The standard map used widely in the U.S. is the Mercator Map and it is wrong. It is a world map that was originally created only for navigational purposes for ships. It was never meant to show the accurate sizes of countries or continents. Yet that's what we use it for.

I have such a Mercator Map on my wall right now. It was bought at an educational supply store for teachers. (for my classroom roleplay area at home). Yet the map is not right. For example, it shows Greenland as being huge and India as being alot smaller than it. India takes up more geographical area in reality. If we use completely rectangular maps (and we shouldn't) then the world would look more like the Peters Map.(shown in this second image). For example, India and Africa are bigger now. It reminds me of the time when most people thought the world was flat. That's what they were taught in school/society and so they accepted it as the truth. But the society at large was mistaken. I wish more people would learn to question what they were taught in society/school. That also reminds me of a video I saw recently of the Jimmy Kimmel live show where he went out and showed people on the street what he said was the first look at the brand new iPhone 5 when in fact he was secretly showing the current iPhone 4s to people including those who had the iPhone 4s phone and they all said "the new one" was much better. It was funny but a bit sad because those people are probably brainwashed by advertising media that "the latest and greatest is better."
