Now I haven't read the book "The 50 shades of grey" but I have heard several people say that it does not portray BDSM very well. That it mistakenly mentions abuse. Well abuse is certainly not the case in real life. BDSM's motto that most practice is "Safe, Sane and Consensual". Well I love seeing BOTH. In the past, sometimes I have crossdressed a particular masculine male and sometimes I haven't. Zombies are coming

October is coming soon...hooray...one of my favorite months. Lots of fun parties and events are going on, including ZombiCon in nearby fort myers. Book recommendation

One of my male friends in the local bdsm lifestyle is getting married soon. So for a present, I intend to give them a good book I came across. It's called "The 5 Love Languages: The Secret To Love That Lasts" book by Gary Chapman. It's a New York Times bestseller. There's also other editions that convey very similar information such as the Men's Edition of that book.

Crossdressing, purging and being yourself

Today's topic is purging. The majority of crossdressers at some point in their lives (I think usually when they're just beginning) purge or throw away some or all their crossdressing stuff (clothes, panties, makeup, bras, etc.).

Why does this happen? Personally I think it's because they have yet to be fully comfortable with their crossdressing interest and have some shame about it, mostly I think because of society's narrowminded thoughts on what it means to be a man or society's standards on what it means "to be normal". Personally I think, why be normal? That is completely boring. If you like to crossdress then crossdress. Be happy and accepting of who you are. Crossdressing is not hurting anyone.

(one even threw away thousands of dollars worth of crossdressing stuff). But all crossdressers usally come back to wanting to crossdress again and then regret that they threw out their stuff. So if you've purged as an crossdresser then know it is completely normal or usual to do so. I believe most crossdressers outgrow it though once they learn to fully accept who they are and that crossdressing does not make them any less of a man. It's just a way to enjoy or express themselves. And it's completely fine. (Personally I think it's very sexy. Soft fabrics, lace, silk, see through fabrics, sexy styles, showing off your body, being openminded, trying new things...are all great for anybody. The Chocolate Shake Analogy

On the topic of trying to change someone, I read this analogy awhile ago and thought it was good. So I'll share it. Here's the analogy/text written by someone else:

"Many times in my experiences, I've seen, heard, or read about a dominant, or most often someone who calls himself "Master (place pretentious, or sometimes silly name here)" or "Lord (see former parentheses)" making a statement that just seems about as asinine as can be. Ok, so no big surprise there. People make asinine statements regularly (even me), but I'm referring to a particularly asinine statement.

To paraphrase: Submit to me, and I will shape you, mold you, strip you down, and make you into the perfect submissive for me. (end paraphrase).

The words may change, but the intent is the same. Let me ERASE who you are, and remake you into my own ideal.

After screwing up my face in complete contempt for such a mentality, and trying to shake my head hard enough so that my brain can comprehend what I view to be the sheer unadulterated stupidity of such a statement, I usually utter a single question:

Hence the birth of the Chocolate Shake Analogy

It goes like this:
If I want a chocolate shake, I buy a chocolate shake.

I don't buy a strawberry shake, bring it home, find some long drawn out self aggrandizing process of filtering out the strawberry from the rest of the shake, and then slowly and painstakingly adding in chocolate, so I can have a chocolate shake.

I just buy a fucking chocolate shake. That's what I want isn't it? There ARE chocolate shakes to be had aren't there? I don't live in a world where chocolate shakes are impossible to find, if I want one, I'll find one. And if they're that rare, then fuckit, I'll just fucking wait until I find an ACTUAL chocolate shake, instead of trying to force some poor strawberry shake into becoming a chocolate shake.

When it's put like that, it sounds pretty fuckin' dumb doesn't it?

Submissives are not shakes. But then, no two shakes are exactly alike either. With as many human beings as there are in the world, and as many combinations of kink that can, do, and have always existed, statistically speaking, there is at least ONE submissive out there for every single dominant person. (--My thoughts: I thought that above analogy was very good. I do not want to erase or completely remake a person. As he said above, if I wanted a chocolate shake, I'd find a chocolate shake. There's lots of different shakes (people) out there in the world afterall. By the way, I've also heard statements like that from male subs out there where they basically say "Strip me of everything I am and remake me into whatever you want". What's the point of that?
