I would never ask for money from strangers for myself, but I would ask for it for my favorite charity, Water for People. They help bring clean water and sanitation services to poor areas in the world that do not have it. And today August 25 is the day that your donation to them will be matched/doubled. In Canada, there is a charity called Because I Am A Girl, run by Plan Canada (formerly Foster Parents Plan). It is focused on helping females worldwide because it is only fair to do so, given the terrible patriarchal societies running the world. i am proud to have supported this charity every month for years. Maybe it's because i am a gurl!
